I'm not too clear on ettiquette around blogging, nor do I care that much about it so here's something that I found on the web that is very interesting and a great watch - at the risk of promoting someone else's work: www.beforethemusicdies.com. You can download the mp4 for a pretty reasonable cost. There's a seemingly accurate view on the state of radio play in the US, along with an obvious insight into the drivers and methods of selling and making manufactured pop music. It's a credible film - complete with disguised execs from Clear Channel confessing how it works on the inside. There's also some live footage of Dave Matthews and Band - wow, there's an example of talent - even if his bus driver did drop open the toilet contents on the tourboat, hee hee, ouch.
